Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CoatMentor (“the service”, “we”, “us”) at coatmentor.com. By using the site or purchasing a track you agree to them. Questions: contact@coatmentor.com.

1. What the service is

CoatMentor is an independent online study aid for coating-inspector certification exams (AMPP CIP Level 1 and Level 2, and FROSIO). It provides original practice questions, timed mock exams, model answers and study feedback. It is not a certification body and does not issue certificates.

2. Accounts

The members area requires signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for the account you use. Purchased tracks are linked to the email address used at checkout — sign in with the same address to unlock them. See the Privacy Policy for how account data is handled.

3. Purchases and payment

• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record — they handle checkout, payment security and applicable taxes under their own terms of sale.
• Each track is a one-time purchase granting personal access to that track's content in the members area for 12 months from the date of purchase — no subscription, no recurring charges, no auto-renewal. Buying the same track again starts a fresh 12-month term.
• Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future buyers; changes never affect access you have already purchased.

4. Refund policy

All purchases are final; refunds are not offered. We do this deliberately and transparently: instead of a refund window, we open the product before you pay. The free sampler (15 CIP Level 1, 10 CIP Level 2 and 10 FROSIO items, no email required) shows the exact question style, explanation depth and written-answer format used across the full tracks — please judge the quality there before buying. Statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived by these terms remain unaffected. By completing a purchase you consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that, where the law allows, this waives any withdrawal period.

5. Fair use of the content

All questions, model answers, explanations and other content are our copyrighted work. Your purchase is a personal, non-transferable licence to study from that content in the members area. You may not:

• share your account or resell, publish or redistribute the content;
• copy, scrape, or bulk-export questions or answers, or use them to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model;
• circumvent the site's technical protections.

We may suspend accounts that materially breach these rules. Genuine study use — including personal notes and translations for your own revision — is always fine.

6. AI-assisted marking

FROSIO written answers can be pre-marked by an AI model against our model answers. This is an assistive feature: it can make mistakes, you always keep the final say over your own marks, and if the feature is unavailable the self-marking checklist works without it.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and improving, and we may add, update or correct content at any time. If the service is ever discontinued, we will give purchasers reasonable notice at the email address linked to their purchase.

8. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected purchase. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
